Tasks/Activities

  • The Senor Pilot acts as tanker lifting coordinator on block
  • He is a back-up pilot for all terminals in case of unavailability of a terminal
  • He is engaged on tanker operations as Pilot when a second pilot is requested on spot (simops, tandem)
  • He is an advisor for all specific operations in relation with tankers lifting and maintenance job on mooring equipments and export hoses on Fpso and SBM.
  • He is working closely with OLC and MOM for tugs assignment on
  • On specific operations, he is coordinating logistic means on

He is in close contact with shore contractor for organisation of marine crew planning. He participates as advisor for all recruitment of marine personal.

Export tanker coordination:

  • He is in charge of mooring team assignment for export tanker
  • He is in charge of tugs assignment for tanker
  • He is in charge of editing a tanker berthing plan based on tanker ETA, terminal readiness and tugs availability; He has to submit arbitration to all concerned party when simultaneous operations are not feasible.
  • He reviews export tanker handling procedures and emergency response on a regular
  • He reports on monthly base all KPI regarding offloading

  • Maintenance and follow up mooring and export hoses equipments:

 

  • He follows up the maintenance of mooring equipment’s and floating hoses of all
  • He follows up and reports all workboat
  • When a specific operation is plan on one terminal, he coordinates logistic and manning means requested (shift marine team from one terminal to another one for specific operation, liaise with MOM and OLC for logistic means)

TUGS:

  • He follows up all towing equipment maintenance on monthly base, for each
  • He follows up all spare towing equipment available on each

He follows up all characteristics of tugs available on site.

Education:

  • Has a minimum work experience of twenty-four (24) months actual sea service as Senior Deck Officer on crude oil tankers.
  • Has minimum 2 years experience as Pilot on
  • Has experience as pilot in all B17
  • Be Holder of a valid IMO STCW 95 deck officer class 1 certificate,
  • Hold or has held a STCW bridge ressources management certificate,.
  • Hold or has held an advanced oil tanker cargo operations STCW training certificate (IMO
  • model course 02)
  • Be the holder of a valid medical fitness certificate in accordance with IMO STCW 95
  • Has attended a specific simulator training course for terminal
  • Be familiar with tanker
  • Be familiar with the operation of terminal
  • Be fluent in English (French and/or Portuguese is an advantage).
  • PFSO training
  • Has attended a ship handling course on manned
  • Oil Spill Clearance IMO Level 1 (offshore).
  • Lifting & Rigging Training & Certificate
  • Floating Line Hydrostatic Pressure test Training & certificate (as per OCIMF SMOG 3rd ed 2015)

Integrated Flange Tightening Training & certificate (as per guidelines for boundary bolted flange joint assembly
