TASKS/ACTIVITIES:
He handles on deck operations as instructed by the deck Supervisor following TEPA standard during all FPSO activities and operations.
He maintains deck, lifting and rigging equipment at the required level as instructed by the Deck Supervisor.
He assists Helicopter Landing Officer as Fireman.
He acts as Boat Landing Officer.
He is part of the ISPS team under PFSO authority.

JOB DESCRIPTION
He operates under the Deck Supervisor orders and instructions.
He prepares equipment, containers, pipe, systems, stores and various materials and supplies utilized in the operations and daily functions of the FPSO, as per deck Supervisor’s instructions.
He prepares slinging and rigging equipment prior lifting operations. This includes offloading and back-loading equipment to supply vessels and supplies preparation as well as heavy or bulky materials throughout the FPSO.
He participates to FPSO lifting equipment maintenance activities.
He communicates with lifting team for the lifting activities.
He performs FPSO lifting accessories and Cargo Carrying Unit’s (CCU) maintenance at first level.
Assists with cargo handling operations including storing operation with forklift.
He fills up the forklift operator log book.
He ensures the cleanliness of work areas where the works are performed and ensures that all equipment are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
He ensures that his deck stores are maintained in a safe and secure condition at all times
He prepares all bunkering equipment prior bunkering operations, as per deck Supervisor’s instructions.
He performs hoses handling and connections for fluids transfer and he acts as deck watch during the fluid transfer.
He acts as Fireman during helicopter operation (and when certified only, acts as back-up Heli Deck Assistant).
He is the designated Boat Landing Officer.
He performs fire fighting activities when required.
He notifies the deck Supervisor of the breakdowns, anomalies and faults of the equipment.
He can replace the seaman 3 in the workboat during offloading operation
Any other activities as per Marine Operation Superintendent’s request.
