TASKS/ACTIVITIES:
He is responsible to organize and perform FPSO deck operations (cargoes, bunkering, and waste management), lifting operations and deck crew management following TEPA standard with its dedicated team.
He is the FPSO Competent Lifting Person on site in close cooperation for lifting operations with TEPA SLS (Sites Lifting Specialist) and CPLO (Competent Person Lifting Operation), who are the references for Lifting knowledge in the TEPA affiliate.
He controls application of safety procedures on deck and helideck.
He is the designated Helicopter Landing Officer.
He is part of the ISPS team under PFSO authority.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Deck operations:
Stores management: he controls consumable levels, prepares and maintains inventories of the equipment under his responsibility (helideck, refuelling, bunkering, lifting equipment etc….)
He supervises, coordinates, and manages the deck hands.
He carries out all documentations recording for the complete activity through FPSO data files.
He monitors the functioning of systems placed under his responsibility
He may be requested to act as Boat Landing Officer.
Lifting :
He approves and reviews “Routine and Simple lifting plans” and refers to Block 17 Site Lifting Supervisor for other lifting.
He prepares and verifies all lifting equipment prior lifting operation (condition and certification).
He ensures that FPSO cranes are safely and efficiently operated.
He supervises the safe slinging and rigging of equipment.
He plans and calculates load capacities to ensure that all loads are lifted within the safe lifting parameters of cranes.
He must be knowledgeable in all facets of crane operations and safety procedures.
He ensures and follows up deck / marine rigging equipment are properly stored, maintained and ensures that a register and quarantine process are in place.
He plans the placement and storage of tools and equipment in order to maximise storage and deck load capability.
He supervises and manages the use of the forklifts
STEFRAC certification.
Bunkering:
He prepares and verifies all bunkering equipment prior bunkering operations (condition and certification).
He is in charge of bunkering (water and DO) operations on deck in coordination with Control Room operators and according to TEPA’s procedures.
Waste management:
He is charge of waste management on deck:
Selective sorting and collection of wastes
Management of waste skips in liaison with the Logistic Supervisor.
Preparation of waste skips manifests.
Issuance of daily, weekly, monthly the waste reports
Helicopter operations:
He acts as Helicopter Landing Officer and is in charge of refuelling operations.
Other duties:
Notify the Marine Operation Superintendent of the breakdowns, anomalies and faults of the equipment.
When available and in compliance with rest hours policy, he might be requested by the Marine Operation Superintendant to assist in other tasks on board the FPSO.
