TASKS/ACTIVITIES
The Marine Operation Superintendent ensures that all activities related to the Marine discipline, particularly operational procedures of marine equipment and related systems are correctly and safely defined and followed.
He ensures that all marine related equipment are operational. It covers amongst other:
All cargo, slop, ballast and offloading systems.
All bunker stations.
All mooring systems.
All systems associated with offloading, tandem offloading including hydraulic systems, winches, QCDC, hoses, hoses reels and Hawsers.
Marine telecommunication systems: berthing aid system, navigation aids, FPSO Motion Reference Unit, Meteorological station, non-directional (radio) beacon (NDB).
Offshore field monitoring system (ISPS – radar system).
The Marine Operation Superintendent highlights to the RSES any points that may lead to concerns during operations of marine systems, offloading, tank inspection, (etc…) or deviate from availability and reliability targets.
He is the interface with the Marine Operation Manager as well as with all concerned and related FPSO departments regarding marine and logistic related matters.
Provide his Master’s tanker experience to other departments as required.
Prepare and develop marine operational guidelines and procedures.
He will provide the principal expertise on board the FPSO of marine operations to support marine activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION
He is the marine adviser for the OIM/RSES on board.
He manages Marine, logistic team, deck team.
He is the designated Port Facility Security Officer, including access control management.
He is the point of contact of the export tanker.
He assists HSE, production, maintenance and inspection teams when requested for typical marine related activities for FPSO.
He is in charge of the FPSO statutory certifications follow-up, conservation and archiving.
Manage POB onboard based in 5WLA planning with the assistance of Logistic Supervisor and Secretary.

Commercial operations:
He re-schedules offloading operation in relation with TOTAL Trading Shipping, Local Authorities, Marine Operation Manager and Senior Pilot.
He ensures that tanker lifting operations are carried out according to the Lifting agreement.
He is in charge of establishing all off-loading documentation (Bill of Lading, Cargo manifest, letter of protest, timesheet, Certificate of Quality and Quantity etc…).
He ensures availability and operability of loading/offloading systems and associated equipment (mooring, offloading buoys, floating hoses, etc…).

Maintenance:
He organises and manages the 1st level maintenance operations related to marine equipment (winches, bollards, capstans, etc…), including the workboat readiness and operability.
He follows up the condition of navigation aids on board the FPSO/Buoy: gyro compass, weather aids, radar, ARPA, warning lights and signals.
He follows up of FPSO and Offloading buoy anchoring loads.
He follows up the safety control systems related to export operations: communications, SPM telemetry, emergency shutdown (tests, etc), QCDC, hawser release, load cell, metering system.
He is in charge of follow-up of storage, export and ballast piping integrity and pumping means (cargo pumps, hydraulic units, etc…).
He coordinates the Crude and ballast tank preparation and follows up the maintenance and inspection activities.
He issues the work order, spare parts with SAP for marine materials and carries out the follow-up.
He manages the spare parts for logistics, deck and marine equipment.
He follows up the FPSO cranes conditions.
He follows up the FPSO helideck maintenance and audit preparation.
He follows up the maintenance operations pertaining to mooring and connection of the buoy and the FPSO (including offloading lines).
