ROLE:

To lead technical operations aboard an FPSO vessel. The role involves overseeing production systems, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient performance of topside and subsea equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of FPSO systems (e.g. separators, compressors, water injection units).
• Lead engineering teams during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency response.
• Interface with control room operators, production superintendents, and marine crew.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM codes.
• Liaise with onshore support teams and client representatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Marine Engineering.
• 5+ years of offshore experience, preferably on FPSO units.
• Proficiency in offshore software (e.g. CMMS, AMOS, OrcaFlex, AutoPIPE).
• Valid offshore certifications: BOSIET, OGUK medical, HUET, Yellow Fever.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
